The best way to stop being tired or fatigued all the time

If you are tired all the time, the first thing you should do is go and see your doctor to rule out certain medical conditions that can also cause fatigue; for example, chronic fatigue syndrome, anemia, diabetes, arthritis, thyroid disease, sleep apnoea or sleep irregularities can all cause tiredness.

Once you are cleared of these conditions, the best thing to do is to start working on increasing your vitality levels, which will automatically improve your energy.

Chinese medicine considers vitality as Chi life force energy. As an internal power, it gives you the ability to sustain your life; it gives you a strong sense of personal power to help you endure through difficult times and to perform life’s functions to the best of your abilities. That must be desirable to have.

Vitality recharges our emotional, mental and physical body. It is an expression of our life force. It is the sparkle that makes people want you, love you, employ you, help you, associate with you, be your friend…it is the sparkle that makes you succeed.

People around you can recognise your vitality levels, whether you have a lack of vitality or not. Your employers can recognise your increased vitality levels. People around you can see it too. Vitality makes you shine, it makes you become pro-active, interesting and helpful. With increased vitality, you become physically and mentally more responsive, more open, ready to seize the opportunities that make you become successful in your accomplishments.

The best way to stop being tired all the time is to have good vitality levels. Besides obvious health benefits such as preventing illness and recovering quickly from disease, you will enjoy other benefits, for example:

  • The mind becomes more willing to take on new things, which is important in improving memory and preventing Alzheimer’s dementia, in young and old people. And you become more optimistic.
  • Emotionally, when you have vitality and energy you become more cheerful, happier and more caring.
  • Physically, you retain a liveliness and vivacity in the way you respond to life and how you go about your life every day. Your energy levels are high or adequate for the lifestyle you live.

Apart from feeling worn-out or exhauted all the time, here’s what usually happens as a consequence of being constantly drained or having poor energy level.

  • you easily put on weight or you cannot lose weight easily
  • you lose physical fitness and strength
  • your mind and memory do not function as well
  • you get sick often, you do not quickly recover from illness
  • you grow old too early in your life
  • you fail more often

At the more serious stage of being tired all the time, loss of vitality contributes to killer diseases that affect both the young and old alike. These killer diseases are:

  • Obesity or Overweight
  • Heart attack and cardio vascular disease
  • Stroke
  • Cancer
  • Lung disease
  • Diabetes and its complications
  • Depression
  • Alzheimer’s dementia

Chronic tiredness, obesity, cancer, stroke, heart attack, diabetes, depression, lung disease, Alzheimer’s dementia, arthritis and premature aging can all be traced to loss of vitality and can be prevented, improved or reversed by raising and maintaining vitality levels.
